‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏وَكِيعٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِيهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ ‏ ‏وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ ‏ ‏وَعُمَرَ ‏ ‏رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا ‏ ‏كَانُوا ‏ ‏يُكَبِّرُونَ فِي كُلِّ خَفْضٍ وَرَفْعٍ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki's father and Isra'il, from Abu Ishaq, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn al-Aswad and 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid — from 'Abdullah — that the Prophet ﷺ, Abu Bakr, and 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) would say the takbir at every lowering and rising [in prayer].
