English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki', from al-A'mash, from 'Abdillah ibn Murra, from Masruq — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The blood of a Muslim who testifies that there is no god but Allah and that I am the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is not lawful [to shed] except in one of three cases: a life for a life; the married adulterer; and the one who abandons his religion and forsakes the community.'
