English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki', from Isra'il, from Simak ibn Harb, from Ibrahim, from 'Alqama and al-Aswad — that he said: 'A man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: O Messenger of Allah, I met a woman in a garden and embraced her, pressed close to her, kissed her, and did everything with her — except that I did not have intercourse with her. the Prophet ﷺ remained silent. Then this verse was revealed: 'Indeed, good deeds remove evil deeds — that is a reminder for those who remember' [11:114]. the Prophet ﷺ called the man and recited it to him. 'Umar said: O Messenger of Allah, is this specific to him or for all people? He said: Rather it is for all people.'
