English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Isra'il, from Simak — that he heard Ibrahim narrating from 'Alqama and al-Aswad — from 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud — that a man came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Prophet of Allah, I found a woman in a garden and did everything with her except I did not have intercourse with her — I kissed her and embraced her and did nothing beyond that. Do with me as you wish.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said nothing to him. The man left. 'Umar said: 'Allah has concealed [his sin] — if only he had concealed it himself.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ looked after him and said: Bring him back to me. They brought him back and he recited to him: 'Establish prayer at both ends of the day and at some hours of the night — indeed good deeds remove evil deeds...' [11:114 — to] 'those who remember' [11:114]. Mu'adh ibn Jabal said: Is it for him alone or for all people, O Prophet of Allah? He said: Rather for all people. — [Second chain] via Surayj, from Abu 'Awana, from Simak, from Ibrahim, from 'Alqama and al-Aswad — and he mentioned the hadith.
