English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn Mas'ud (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu al-Ahwas — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'I have considered commanding a man to lead the people in prayer, then going and burning the houses of those people who do not attend the Friday prayer [Jumu'a].'
