English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Husayn ibn 'Ali, from Za'ida, from Simak, from al-Qasim ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from his father — that he said: 'We were traveling by night with the Prophet ﷺ. We said: O Messenger of Allah, if we were to lie down on the ground, sleep, and let our camels graze? He [agreed] and they did so. He said: Let some of you stand guard. 'Abdullah said: I said: I will stand guard for you. But sleep overcame me and I slept — I did not wake up until the sun had risen. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ only woke from our speech. He commanded Bilal to give the adhan, then called the iqama, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prayed with us.'
