Hadith #241
Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ كُنْتُ مَعَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ وَأَبِي مُوسَى
وَهُمَا يَتَحَدَّثَانِ فَذَكَرَا عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قَبْلَ السَّاعَةِ أَيَّامٌ يُرْفَعُ فِيهَا الْعِلْمُ وَيَنْزِلُ فِيهَا الْجَهْلُ وَيَكْثُرُ فِيهَا الْهَرْجُ قَالَ قَالَا الْهَرْجُ الْقَتْلُ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Husayn ibn 'Ali, from Za'ida, from Sulayman, from Shaqiq — that he said: 'I was with 'Abdullah and Abu Musa while they were conversing. They mentioned from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he said: 'Before the Hour there will be days when knowledge is lifted, ignorance descends, and al-harj becomes widespread.' They both said: Al-harj means killing.'
