English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Affan, from Abu 'Awana, from Firas, from 'Amir, from Masruq — that he said: 'Sometimes [Ibn Mas'ud] would narrate to us from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and he would falter and his color would change, saying: "Like this — or close to this."'
