English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Affan, from Shu'ba, from Abu Ishaq, from al-Aswad — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited Surah al-Najm [53] and prostrated — and no one among the people remained except that he prostrated, except one man who raised a handful of pebbles and placed them on his forehead, saying: "This is enough for me." 'Abdullah said: 'I later saw him killed as an unbeliever.'
