English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from Sulayman (al-A'mash), from Abu Wa'il — that he said: 'I am informed of your gatherings, but what prevents me from coming out to you is fear of boring you. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to choose [appropriate] days for giving admonitions, out of concern for wearying us.'
