English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from 'Asim ibn Bahdala, from Abu Wa'il — that he narrated: 'We used to speak during the prayer. I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and greeted him, but he did not return my greeting — and [the weight of] what was old and what was recent [of my worries] seized me. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: "Indeed, Allah decrees for His Prophet what He wills." Shu'ba said: "I believe he said: [what He wills] from what He wills." — "And among what He has newly decreed for His Prophet (ﷺ) is: do not speak during the prayer."'
