حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مَنْصُورًا يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ
الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا سَمَرَ إِلَّا لِرَجُلَيْنِ أَوْ لِأَحَدِ رَجُلَيْنِ لِمُصَلٍّ وَلِمُسَافِرٍ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Muhammad ibn Ja'far, from Shu'ba, from Mansur, from Khaythama ibn 'Abd al-Rahman — from the Prophet ﷺ — that he said: 'There is no staying up late at night [samar] except for two men — or one of two men: one who is performing prayer and one who is traveling.'
