English Translation
Isma'il narrated to us, Ayyub informed us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, that a man said: O Messenger of Allah, what should the person in ihram wear — or he said: what should the person in ihram avoid? He said: 'He should not wear a shirt, nor trousers, nor a turban, nor a hooded cloak. And if someone cannot find sandals, let him wear leather socks and cut them below the ankles. And do not wear anything that has been dyed with saffron or wars (yellow dye).'
