‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏إِسْمَاعِيلُ ‏ ‏أَخْبَرَنَا ‏ ‏أَيُّوبُ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏نَافِعٍ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏ابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏نَهَى عَنْ بَيْعِ النَّخْلِ حَتَّى ‏ ‏يَزْهُوَ ‏ ‏وَعَنْ ‏ ‏السُّنْبُلِ ‏ ‏حَتَّى يَبْيَضَّ وَيَأْمَنَ ‏ ‏الْعَاهَةَ ‏ ‏نَهَى الْبَائِعَ وَالْمُشْتَرِيَ ‏

English Translation

Isma'il narrated to us, Ayyub informed us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling date palms until the fruit begins to ripen and selling grain until it becomes firm and is safe from blight. He forbade both the seller and the buyer.
