‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏يَحْيَى ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏الْأَعْمَشِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏شَقِيقٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ النَّبِيِّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً فَلَا ‏ ‏يَتَنَاجَى اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا فَإِنَّ ذَلِكَ يَحْزُنُهُ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Yahya, from al-A'mash, from Shaqiq — from the Prophet ﷺ: 'When they are three [people], two of them should not engage in private conversation to the exclusion of their companion, for that will grieve him.'
