حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلّ

َى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ كَذَا حَفِظْنَا الثَّمَرِ بِالتَّمْرِ وَأَخْبَرَهُمْ زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَخَّصَ فِي الْعَرَايَا

English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade selling fruit on the tree for dried dates (thamar bi al-tamr).' Sufyan said: 'This is how we memorized it — fruit for dates.'
