حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ

وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ الشُّؤْمُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ الْفَرَسِ وَالْمَرْأَةِ وَالدَّارِ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ إِنَّمَا نَحْفَظُهُ عَنْ سَالِمٍ يَعْنِي الشُّؤْمَ

English Translation

Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father, that the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Ill omen (shu'm) is in three things: the horse, the woman, and the house.' Sufyan said: We only narrate what we heard (i.e., the hadith is reported as-is without interpretation).
