حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَأَى رَجُلٌ أَنَّ لَيْل

َةَ الْقَدْرِ لَيْلَةُ سَبْعٍ وَعِشْرِينَ أَوْ كَذَا وَكَذَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَرَى رُؤْيَاكُمْ قَدْ تَوَاطَأَتْ فَالْتَمِسُوهَا فِي الْعَشْرِ الْبَوَاقِي فِي الْوِتْرِ مِنْهَا

English Translation

Sufyan narrated to us, from al-Zuhri, from Salim, from his father: A man saw (in a dream) that Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree) was the twenty-seventh night — or such and such. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'I see that your dreams are in agreement regarding the last ten nights, so seek it on an odd night of the last ten.'
