حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مُوسَى بْن

ِ عُقْبَةَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ هَذِهِ الْبَيْدَاءُ الَّتِي يَكْذِبُونَ فِيهَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَحْرَمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِلَّا مِنْ عِنْدِ الْمَسْجِدِ

English Translation
Sufyan narrated to us, from Musa ibn 'Uqbah, from Salim who said: Ibn 'Umar used to say about this al-Bayda' — the place where people lie (attribute falsehoods) about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ — By Allah, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not begin the talbiyah except from beside the mosque — meaning the mosque of Dhu al-Hulayfah.
