English Translation

Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Amr, from Salim, from his father, reaching the Prophet ﷺ: 'When a slave is jointly owned by two people and one of them frees his share, if he is wealthy enough (to cover the rest), the slave is to be evaluated at a fair price. The one who freed his share pays the remaining partners their shares, and the slave becomes entirely free.'
