حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ أَصَابَ عُمَرُ أَرْضًا بِخَيْبَرَ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَأْمَرَهُ فِيهَا فَقَالَ أَصَبْتُ أَرْضًا بِخَيْبَرَ لَمْ أُصِبْ مَالًا قَطُّ أ
َنْفَسَ عِنْدِي مِنْهُ فَمَا تَأْمُرُ بِهِ قَالَ إِنْ شِئْتَ حَبَسْتَ أَصْلَهَا وَتَصَدَّقْتَ بِهَا قَالَ فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا عُمَرُ أَنْ لَا تُبَاعَ وَلَا تُوهَبَ وَلَا تُوَرَّثَ قَالَ فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا عُمَرُ فِي الْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْقُرْبَى وَالرِّقَابِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَالضَّيْفِ لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَى مَنْ وَلِيَهَا أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْهَا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ أَوْ يُطْعِمَ صَدِيقًا غَيْرَ مُتَأَثِّلٍ فِيهِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Isma'il narrated to us, Ibn 'Awn narrated to us, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: 'Umar acquired land in Khaybar, so he came to the Prophet ﷺ and consulted him about it. He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, I have acquired land in Khaybar, and I have never acquired property more precious to me than it. What do you command me regarding it?' He ﷺ said: 'If you wish, you may endow the land itself and give its produce in charity.' So 'Umar gave it in charity on the condition that it not be sold, purchased, inherited, or given away, and he distributed its produce among the poor, relatives, for freeing slaves, in the cause of Allah, for travelers, and for guests.
