English Translation

Abu Mu'awiyah narrated to us, Suhayl ibn Abi Salih narrated to us, from his father, from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: We used to count, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was alive and his Companions were numerous: Abu Bakr, then 'Umar, then 'Uthman [as the best of the Companions], then we would stop and not differentiate between them.
