English Translation
Isma'il ibn Ibrahim narrated to us, al-Hajjaj ibn Abi 'Uthman narrated to us, from Abu al-Zubayr, from 'Awn ibn 'Abd Allah ibn 'Utbah, from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) who said: While we were praying with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, a man among the people said: 'Allah is the Greatest, the Greatest. All praise is due to Allah, abundant. Glory be to Allah, morning and evening.' the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Who said such-and-such?' A man from the people said: 'I did, O Messenger of Allah.' He ﷺ said: 'I was amazed by it; the gates of heaven were opened for it.' Ibn 'Umar said: I never abandoned it since I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say that.
