It was narrated from 'Abdullah [ibn 'Umar] (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yahya ibn Sa'id, from 'Ubayd Allah, from Nafi' — that he said: 'The people used to buy food in bulk [in undefined quantities] in the marketplace. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade them from selling it until they had moved it [to their possession elsewhere].'
