English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yahya ibn Sa'id, from Sufyan, from 'Abdullah ibn Dinar — that he said: 'I heard Ibn 'Umar say: "While the people were praying the Fajr prayer in the Mosque of Quba', a man suddenly came and said: 'Quran was revealed to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ last night, and he was commanded to face the Ka'ba.' They then faced it and turned [mid-prayer] to orient themselves toward the Ka'ba."'
