ي نَافِعٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يُقِيمُ الرَّجُلُ الرَّجُلَ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهِ فَيَجْلِسَ فِيهِ وَلَكِنْ تَفَسَّحُوا وَتَوَسَّعُوا

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yahya, from 'Ubayd Allah, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'A man must not displace another man from his seat and then sit in it himself — rather, make room and be generous in space [for one another].'
