English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki' and Yazid, from Isma'il, from Qays — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no [lawful] envy except in two [cases]: a man whom Allah has given wealth and empowered to spend it in what is right, and another whom Allah has given wisdom and who judges by it and teaches it.'
