English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via Waki', from al-A'mash, from 'Umara ibn 'Umayr, from 'Abd al-Rahman ibn Yazid — that he said: 'the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to us: O young men, whoever among you is able [to afford] marriage, let him marry — for it lowers the gaze more and guards the private parts better. And whoever cannot, let him fast, for fasting is a restraint [wija'] for him.'
