حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْهُدَى وَالتُّقَى وَالْعِفَّةَ وَالْغِنَى
English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Rahman, from Sufyan, from Abi Ishaq, from Abi al-Ahwas — from the Prophet ﷺ that he used to supplicate: 'O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and independence [from all but You].'
