English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه) — via 'Abd al-Malik ibn 'Amr, from Sufyan; and 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Sufyan, from Abi Ishaq, from Abi 'Ubayda — that he said: When the verse was revealed: 'So glorify the praises of your Lord and seek His forgiveness; indeed He is ever-Accepting of repentance' [110:3] — 'Abd al-Razzaq says: when Surah 'Idha ja'a nasr Allah wa'l-fath [110] was revealed — the Prophet ﷺ would frequently say: 'Subhanaka Allahumma wa bi-hamdika, Allahumma ighfir li, innaka anta al-tawwab [Glory be to You, O Allah, and with Your praise; O Allah, forgive me — indeed You are ever-Accepting of repentance].'
