English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from 'Abdullah ibn Nafi', from his father — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the castration [ikhas'] of horses and livestock. Ibn 'Umar said: 'In them lies the growth of creation.'
