English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Abu Janab, from his father — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'There is no [contagious] disease transmission [la 'adwa], no evil omen [la tiyara], and no [evil] hama.' A man stood and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what do you say about a camel that has mange and then the rest of the herd gets mange?' He said: 'That is [divine] decree — so who afflicted the first one?'
