حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ خَالِهِ الْح

َارِثِ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُنَا بِالتَّخْفِيفِ وَإِنْ كَانَ لَيَؤُمُّنَا بِالصَّافَّاتِ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Ibn Abi Dhi'b, from his uncle al-Harith, from Salim — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to command us to keep [the prayer] brief, yet he would lead us [reciting all of Surah] al-Saffat.
