English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Waki', from Hisham ibn Sa'd, from 'Umar ibn Asid — that he said: 'During the time of the Prophet ﷺ we used to say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ is the best of people, then Abu Bakr, then 'Umar. Ibn Abi Talib was given three qualities such that if I were to have even one of them it would be more beloved to me than red camels: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ married him to his daughter and she bore him children; and he closed all doors [into the mosque] except his door; and he gave him the banner on the Day of Khaybar.'
