English Translation

It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Rawh, from Zakariyya ibn Ishaq, from 'Amr ibn Dinar — that he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "The month is like this, and like this, and like this" — and he folded his thumb on the third [gesture, indicating a month can be twenty-nine days].'
