حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ حَدَّثَنِي سَالِمٌ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ
رُؤْيَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ النَّاسَ قَدْ اجْتَمَعُوا فَقَامَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ فَنَزَعَ ذَنُوبًا أَوْ ذَنُوبَيْنِ وَفِي نَزْعِهِ ضَعْفٌ وَاللَّهُ يَغْفِرُ لَهُ ثُمَّ نَزَعَ عُمَرُ فَاسْتَحَالَتْ غَرْبًا فَمَا رَأَيْتُ عَبْقَرِيًّا مِنْ النَّاسِ يَفْرِي فَرِيَّهُ حَتَّى ضَرَبَ النَّاسُ بِعَطَنٍ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Rawh, from Ibn Jurayj, from Musa ibn 'Uqba, from Salim — regarding the vision of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ concerning Abu Bakr and 'Umar — that he said: 'I saw the people gathered. Abu Bakr stood and drew one or two buckets — and in his drawing there was some weakness. May Allah forgive him. Then 'Umar drew and the bucket turned into a great water bag [gharb]. I never saw among the people anyone of extraordinary prowess match what he did — until the people came to settle at the watering place.'
