حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنِ الْ

مُطَّلِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَنْطَبٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَتَوَضَّأُ ثَلَاثًا يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَكَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يَتَوَضَّأُ مَرَّةً يَرْفَعُهُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation

It was narrated — via Rawh, from al-Awza'i, from al-Muttalib ibn 'Abdullah ibn Hantab — that Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) used to perform wudu three times, tracing it back to the Prophet ﷺ. And Ibn 'Abbas used to perform wudu once, tracing it back to the Prophet ﷺ.
