English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Muhammad ibn 'Ubayd, from 'Ubayd Allah, from Nafi' — that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'The example of the Quran is like that of a tethered camel — if its owner tends to it and keeps it tethered, it stays with him; but if he releases its tether, it goes away.'
