حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ حُسَيْنٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْ
نِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَبِيحَةَ عَرَفَةَ مِنَّا الْمُكَبِّرُ وَمِنَّا الْمُهِلُّ أَمَّا نَحْنُ فَنُكَبِّرُ قَالَ قُلْتُ الْعَجَبُ لَكُمْ كَيْفَ لَمْ تَسْأَلُوهُ كَيْفَ صَنَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yazid, from 'Abd al-'Aziz ibn 'Abdullah ibn Abi Salama, from 'Umar ibn Husayn, from 'Abdullah ibn Abi Salama, from 'Abdullah ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar — that he said: 'We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the morning of 'Arafa — some of us were making Takbir and others were reciting the talbiya. As for us, we were making Takbir.' He [the narrator] said: 'I said [to him]: How remarkable — why did you not ask him what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ himself used to do?'
