English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yazid, from Muhammad (meaning Ibn Ishaq), from Nafi' — that he said: 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say on this pulpit — while forbidding those in ihram from what is disliked for them: \"Do not wear turbans, shirts, trousers, burnouses [hooded cloaks], or leather socks — except for one who is compelled, in which case he must cut them below the ankles. And do not wear a garment touched by wars or saffron.\"' He [Ibn 'Umar] said: 'And I heard him forbid women from gloves, the niqab, and garments that have been touched by wars and saffron.'
