حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَكْرَهُ الِاشْتِرَاطَ فِي الْحَجِّ وَيَقُولُ أَمَا حَسْبُكُمْ سُنَّةَ نَبِيِّكُمْ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّهُ لَمْ يَشْتَرِطْ
English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from al-Zuhri, from Salim — that he used to dislike making a conditional stipulation in Hajj and would say: 'Is not the Sunna of your Prophet (ﷺ) sufficient for you? He [the Prophet ﷺ] did not make a stipulation [in his Hajj].'
