English Translation
It was narrated — via Yahya, from Husayn, from 'Amr ibn Shu'ayb, from Sulayman (freed slave of Maymuna) — that he said: 'I came upon Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) while he was in al-Balat and the people were praying in the mosque. I said: "What prevents you from praying with the people?" He said: "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Do not pray the same prayer twice in one day.''"'
