حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَالْأَعْمَشِ وَمَنْصُورٍ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ كَانَ عُمَرُ يَحْلِفُ وَأَبِي ف
َنَهَاهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ حَلَفَ بِشَيْءٍ دُونَ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى فَقَدْ أَشْرَكَ وَقَالَ الْآخَرُ وَهُوَ شِرْكٌ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Sufyan, from his father and al-A'mash and Mansur, all from Sa'd ibn 'Ubayda — that he said: ''Umar used to swear by his father [wa abi], and the Prophet ﷺ forbade him.' He said: 'Whoever swears by something other than Allah (تعالى) has committed shirk.' The other narrator said: 'And it is shirk.'
