English Translation

It was narrated — via Yahya, from 'Ubayd Allah, from Nafi' — he said: 'I believe [this is] only from 'Abdullah (رضي الله عنه)' — that al-'Abbas sought permission from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to spend the nights of Mina in Mecca on account of [his duty to oversee] the water supply [al-siqaya for the pilgrims]. [the Prophet ﷺ] gave him permission.
