English Translation
It was narrated from 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ibrahim ibn Khalid, from Rabah, from Ma'mar, from Sadaqa al-Makki — that the Prophet ﷺ performed i'tikaf, then addressed the people and said: 'Know that when one of you stands in prayer, he is in private communion with his Lord. So let each of you be mindful of what he is communing with his Lord. And do not raise your voices over each other in recitation during prayer.'
