حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّ عُمَرَ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ
عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ هَلْ يَنَامُ أَحَدُنَا وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ فَقَالَ نَعَمْ وَيَتَوَضَّأُ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ قَالَ نَافِعٌ فَكَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَفْعَلَ شَيْئًا مِنْ ذَلِكَ تَوَضَّأَ وُضُوءَهُ لِلصَّلَاةِ مَا خَلَا رِجْلَيْهِ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ حَدَّثَنِي مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَهُ أَنَّ عُمَرَ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from 'Ubayd Allah ibn 'Umar, from Nafi' — that 'Umar asked the Prophet ﷺ: 'May one of us sleep while in a state of major ritual impurity [junub]?' He said: 'Yes — and let him perform wudu as he would for prayer.' Nafi' said: 'When Ibn 'Umar wanted to do that [sleep in a state of janaba], he would perform wudu as for prayer — except [that he did not wash] his feet.' — [Second chain:] via 'Abd al-Razzaq, from Ma'mar, from Ayyub, from Nafi', from Ibn 'Umar, from the Prophet ﷺ — the like of it — that 'Umar asked the Prophet ﷺ.
