‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏رَبَاحٌ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏مَعْمَرٍ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏أَيُّوبَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏نَافِعٍ ‏ ‏عَنِ ‏ ‏ابْنِ عُمَرَ ‏ ‏أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏نَهَى أَنْ ‏ ‏يَتَحَرَّى ‏ ‏أَحَدُكُمْ غُرُوبَ الشَّمْسِ فَيُصَلِّيَ عِنْدَ ذَلِكَ ‏

English Translation

It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Ibrahim ibn Khalid, from Rabah, from Ma'mar, from Ayyub, from Nafi' — that the Prophet ﷺ forbade deliberately timing the setting of the sun in order to pray at that moment.
