English Translation
It was narrated — via Sufyan, from Ayyub, from Sa'id ibn Jubayr — that he said: 'I said to Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما): [What about] a man who has invoked li'an [mutual imprecation] against his wife? He said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ separated the two from Banu al-'Ajlan and said: \"One of you is lying — is either of you willing to repent?\" — [and he said it] three times.'
