English Translation

It was narrated — via Yazid, from Humayd, from Bakr — that he said: 'I mentioned to Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) that Anas had told us that the Prophet ﷺ entered ihram for both 'umra and Hajj. He said: "Anas is mistaken. the Messenger of Allah ﷺ only entered ihram for Hajj, and we entered ihram with him. When he arrived [in Mecca] he said: \"Whoever has no sacrificial animal, let him convert it to 'umra.\" the Prophet ﷺ had a sacrificial animal, so he did not exit ihram."'
