حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ أُحِبُّهَا وَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْرَهُهَا فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُطَلِّقَهَا فَأَبَيْتُ فَأَ
تَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ امْرَأَةً كَرِهْتُهَا لَهُ فَأَمَرْتُهُ أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا فَأَبَى فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ طَلِّقْ امْرَأَتَكَ فَطَلَّقْتُهَا

English Translation
It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar (رضي الله عنهما) — via Yazid, from Ibn Abi Dhi'b, from al-Harith ibn 'Abd al-Rahman, from Hamza ibn 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar, from his father — that he said: 'I had a wife I loved, but 'Umar disliked her for me and ordered me to divorce her. I refused. He went to the Prophet ﷺ and said: "O Messenger of Allah, 'Abdullah ibn 'Umar has a wife whom I dislike for him — I commanded him to divorce her, but he refused." the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: "O 'Abdullah, divorce your wife." So I divorced her.'
